Major terror strike averted in Delhi, three held with explosives

New Delhi: A major terrorist strike has been averted after the Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested three persons in Assam.

Improvised explosive devices (IED) have also been recovered from them, the police said. The police said the accused were planning strikes in Assam and then in Delhi.

Two of the apprehended suspects have been identified as Muqaddis Ali and Ranjit Ali, both aged between 25 and 30.

Pramod Kumar Singh, DCP of the Delhi Police Special Cell, will hold a press conference to give more details.
