A minor girl in Moradabad distirct of Uttar Pradesh was allegedly raped after being abducted and drugged, reported news agency ANI. A case has been registered in Thakurdwara police station of the district.
The accused is on the run. The girl was found unconscious by her family who had been searching for her.
ANI quoted Superintendent of Police (Rural) Uday Singh as saying, “We have registered a case under section 376 of IPC and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences). The accused and the victim knew each other prior to the incident. The matter is being investigated.”
