Indore: 4 girls thrash another girl in full public view, incident caught on camera

A video from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore has gone viral on social media in which a girl could be seen being brutally beaten up. In the video, four girls could be seen kicking and punching a girl. All four are also hurling abuses. The incident took place on the busy AB Road on November 4. However, the video surfaced on Monday (November 7).

When the girl was being thrashed in full public view, many people stood there as mere mute spectators. People around remained busy in recording the video of the incident. No one tried to intervene and save the victim. The police have now registered an FIR for attempt to murder in this case, as per a TOI report.

Police said that the incident took place at LIG Chowk post midnight hours on November 4. LIG Chowk is located just a kilometer away from the MIG police station. The victim lodged a complaint on Monday and the police then arrested three accused out of four. Later in the evening, a case of attempt to murder was registered against them. According to a report in Times of India, after preliminary investigation, a case has also been registered against three other people including two men.

The TOI report stated that on Monday evening, three accused – Megha Malviya, Tina Soni and Poonam Ahirwar – were arrested after victim Priya Verma filed a police complaint. They were initially booked under IPC sections 294 (uttering obscene words), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation). Later the section of attempt to murder was added to the First Information Report.

During investigation, police got information about the involvement of three other people. Of these three, two are men. The police have also mentioned the names of these three people in the FIR that has been lodged. Further investigation is underway.
