Acting as per a new strategy, the Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday nabbed two stonepelters by planting their men among them at Jama Masjid downtown. This exercise was undertaken to arrest those who on a regular basis indulge in pelting stones on armed forces.

After Friday prayers, a mob started pelting stones at armed peesonnels but the latter did not react. This took stonepelters by a massive surprise. Further to the surprise of the two stonepelters who were leading the mob, the cops who were planted among the crowd easily identified them and they were nabbed.

The two were later taken to the police station. While undertaking this ‘daring act’, the cops used toy guns to scare away other people in the crowd.

While the J&K police used this strategy for the first time in last many years, it remained a big hit. The stonepelters were actually caught unaware.
