Cobra bites 8-year-old boy, he bites it back, snake dies

In a bizzare incident, a cobra reportedly died after an eight-year old boy bit it. The incident took place in Pandrapath village in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh.
The boy has been identified as Deepak. The incident reportedly happened when Deepak was playing in the courtyard behind his house.
According to media reports, the snake first wrapped itself on Deepak’s hand and then bit him. Deepak felt severe pain.
He thereafter, tried getting rid of the snake but he failed to do so. The snake did not budge. According to reports, at this time boy bit the snake twice. A little later, the snake was found to be dead.
As reported by The New Indian Express, the incident took place in a village in Jashpur district, about 350 km northeast of Raipur.
According to a report in News18, Deepak said, “The snake wrapped around my hand and it bit me. I was in great pain. When I tried to move it, it did not budge. I bit it hard two times. It all happened in a jiffy.”
When Deepak’s family came to know about this incident, they rushed him to the hospital. The doctor immediately gave an anti-venom injection to the boy. He was then kept under observation for a day and was discharged the following day.
According to reports, Deepak did not show any symptoms of snakebite.
