In yet another case of rape reported from Uttar Pradesh, a nine year old was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 15-year old boy in Jaunpur district.
News agency ANI reported that the 9-year-old was allegedly raped by a 15-year-old in Jaunpur. A case under section 376 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act has been registered.

The victim is currently under treatment at the district hospital.
It was on Thursday that a video of a woman being molested and harassed by a group of youths at a forested area in Unnao had gone viral after which the police had swung into action and arrested four youths. Despite pleading for mercy the men had not set her free. They instead hurled abuses and threatened her that they would make the video viral if she did not fulfil their wish. The men were asking for sexual favour from the woman.
The woman who is in her early thirties had alleged before media that she was gang-raped. The police thereafter, added rape section in the FIR which was lodged late on Thursday. A named FIR against six men and some unidentified persons was lodged at Gangaghat police station in Unnao. The police are now after two men who are on the run.
