VIDEO: Villagers ‘pet’ leopard, take selfies with it, caress it in MP village

An ailing leopard became a toy for the villagers in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas. After having spotted the tiger, villagers first got scared. Later, they realised that the big cat was unwell. They went close to it and started treating it as a pet.

They took selfies with it and caressed it. As the news spread in the vicinity, more villagers joined it. It became a playtime for them.

The shocking video of leopard being harassed has surfaced online. In the video, it could be seen that a man wearing red pant is taking ride on the leopard’s back and there is a whole bunch of people surrounding it.

The incident took place in Dewas on Tuesday evening. The villagers had spotted the leopard in the bushes of Ikler Mataji village under Peepalrava police station area of ​​Sonkachh.

When forest department came to know about the development, they arrived at the spot and captured the wild animal. According to the forest department officials, the leopard is sick and that is why it is lethargic. They said that the leopard is being treated and would be released into wild again.
