Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dropped names of its leaders – Subramanian Swamy, Maneka Gandhi and Varun Gandhi from the 80 member national executive list released on Thursday.

The list was released by party’s national president JP Nadda. While Swamy is Rajya Sabha MP, Maneka Gandhi is Member of Parliament from Sultanpur. Her son, Varun Gandhi is Lok Sabha MP from Pilibhit.

The list includes names such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, veteran leader Lal Krishna Advani, many Union Ministers and several state leaders.

It is believed that Varun Gandhi’s name has been dropped from the national executive list since he was vocal about the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. It was on Thursday morning that Gandhi had put out a tweet demanding accountability and justice.

“The video is crystal clear. Protestors cannot be silenced through murder. There has to be accountability for the innocent blood of farmers that has been spilled and justice must be delivered before a message of arrogance and cruelty enters the minds of every farmer”, Varun Gandhi wrote on Twitter.

Not only this he also posted a 37-second video, showing that a speeding Mahindra Thar jeep runs over people.

On October 4, Varun Gandhi had written to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding strict action in the matter (Lakhimpur Incident).

The National Executive is made of top party leaders who meet to discuss key issues facing the government and shapes the organization’s agenda.
