Urmila Matondkar joins Congress

Speculation over famed Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar’s possible entry into politics ended on Wednesday when she formally joined the Indian National Congress on Wednesday.

Matondkar was inducted into the party by Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala and leaders Sanjay Nirupam and Milind Deora at the party headquarters.

The Congress shared a picture of the Bollywood Diva with party President Rahul Gandhi on Twitter wherein the latter is seen welcoming the former into the party.
