Unnao : Train collides with vehicle, three injured

Lucknow : A dumper carrying silt collided with a petrol wagon train at Unnao in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, leaving the vehicle’s driver seriously injured, police said. Two other persons were also injured in the mishap.

News agency ANI reported that three persons were injured after a dumper collided with a petrol wagon train on Kanpur-Lucknow route.

The accident at the Sahjani railway crossing near the Ganga Ghat station disrupted rail traffic on the important Kanpur-Lucknow route, officials said.

The dumper was dragged up to a distance before the train came to a halt.

Injured persons been admitted to a medical facility for treatment. News agency IANS quoted an official said that a case had been lodged against the driver under the Railways Act.
