UK Court orders extradition of business tycoon Vijay Mallya to India

A United Kingdom court on Monday ordered the extradition of businessman Vijay Mallya to India. Absconding liquor baron Vijay Mallya is wanted in a Rs 9,000 crore bank loan default case
“London’s Westminster Magistrates Court orders the extradition of Vijay Mallya to India”, reported news agency ANI. The agency also reported that extradition of Vijay Mallya to India has been referred to the Secretary of State.

Further, ANI reported that Chief Magistrate Judge Emma Arbuthnot has found prima facie a case against Vijay Mallya for fraud, conspiracy and money laundering.

The CBI has welcomed the decision of the UK court.
