Kasganj (UP) | A shocking incident has emerged from the Amapur township of Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district where the death of five members of the same family has sparked widespread panic. The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Shyamveer, also known as Fauji, his 45-year-old wife Ramshree Devi, and their three young children: Prachi (12), Akanksha (8), and Girish Kumar (5). Shyamveer, a resident of Nagla Bhojraj, operated a welding shop near a petrol pump on Etah Road.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ankita Sharma arrived at the scene accompanied by a heavy police force, a forensic team, and a dog squad. The high-profile nature of the case and the involvement of young children prompted an immediate and thorough cordoning of the area. Forensic experts have been collecting samples from the site to determine the exact sequence of events that led to this mass fatality.

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest a harrowing scenario. SP Ankita Sharma stated that it appears Shyamveer may have killed his wife and three children before taking his own life by hanging. However, authorities have clarified that the motive and the specific cause of death remain unconfirmed. The bodies have been shifted to a mortuary for post-mortem examination which is expected to reveal whether the victims were poisoned or subjected to physical violence before their deaths.

The local community remains in a state of shock as the police continue their intensive probe. While the “murder-suicide” theory is the primary line of investigation, officials are looking into all possible angles, including financial distress or personal disputes. Further legal and statutory actions are being taken and the police have promised a detailed disclosure once the medical reports are finalized.
