Patna Court Grants Interim Protection to Khan Sir; Lawyer Says He is Free …..

PATNA | Renowned educator Khan Sir has been granted interim protection from arrest by a Patna court, his legal counsel Arvind Kumar Mahuar confirmed in a conversation with IANS.

According to advocate Mahuar, the court has provided interim relief to Khan Sir and scheduled the matter for the next hearing date. “He is now free to travel wherever he wishes,” the lawyer stated, adding that the protection was granted strictly in accordance with legal provisions.

The relief comes after a police team had been deployed to apprehend Khan Sir. In response, Khan Sir’s legal team had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Patna Civil Court. The court initially heard the matter on Monday at 12:30 PM but had reserved its order. Advocate Mahuar had previously indicated that detailed arguments on the matter would continue through Tuesday, with a final ruling expected shortly thereafter.

Explaining the background of the dispute, Mahuar noted that Khan Sir’s staff had originally filed a police complaint against the Director of Gyan Bindu Coaching and several others following an alleged assault on their centre. Khan Sir had also claimed that gunshots were fired during the incident.

However, following a preliminary investigation and the recovery of certain weapons, the police subsequently registered a counter-FIR against Khan Sir and two others under the Arms Act for alleged incitement, making him a wanted figure in the case until the court’s latest intervention.
