Naveen Patnaik is richest among Odisha Ministers

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s assets are worth over Rs 64.26 crore, making him the richest among the council of ministers in Odisha.
The Odisha government has released the property lists of 20 ministers including the chief minister on the government website.
According to the property list of ministers, Naveen Patnaik owns assets worth over Rs 64.26 crore as on March 31, 2019.
Patnaik’s assets include movable properties of over Rs 62.66 lakh and immovable inherited properties valued at over Rs 63.64 crore.
Naveen has an Ambassador car of 1980 model that is valued at around Rs 8,905. He possesses jewellery worth about Rs 2.12 lakh.
The chief minister has deposits over Rs 40 lakh in two branches of State Bank of India.
He has farmland and building in an area of 22.7 acres at Tikri Khera village of Faridabad valued over Rs 10.75 crore, as per the valuation in March, 2017.
The Chief Minister also owns a 50 per cent share of his ancestral property situated at APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi and two-third share of Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar worth over Rs 9.52 crore.
Naveen Patnaik has a loan of Rs 15 lakh that he borrowed from his elder sister, Gita Mehta.
While the chief minister remained the richest among the Council of ministers, Sports and IT Minister Tusharkanti Behera is the poorest with total assets of Rs 26 lakh.
Health Minister Naba Kishore Das is the only Minister in the state who possesses two revolvers and a rifle.
Panchayati Raj Minister Pratap Jena owns properties valued at over Rs 9.92.
