In Munger district’s Tarapur police station area, a newly married woman fled from her in-laws’ house just nine days after the wedding. It is alleged that the bride also took jewellery and cash from the house before escaping. Acting on mobile location tracking, police recovered the woman safely from Dhanbad.
The incident took place in the Tarapur area of Munger district, where a young woman got married on December 1 to a man from the same region. After the wedding, she reached her in-laws’ home on December 2. Everything seemed normal during the initial days but on the evening of December 10, the bride suddenly went missing.
The in-laws searched for her extensively but were unable to find her. They then informed her maternal family, after which both sides began looking for her but no clues emerged. During the investigation, it was discovered that the bride had taken jewellery and cash from the house before disappearing.

The bride’s mother filed a complaint at Tarapur police station, alleging that a young man from Dhanbad—who earlier lived as a neighbour and frequently visited their home—had lured her daughter away. It is believed that the case is linked to a romantic relationship.
