A 65-year-old Maulana has been arrested for allegedly raping an eight-year old girl in Bihar’s Darbhanga district. The rape survivor has been admitted to the hospital.
The shocking incident has taken place under the limits of Hayaghat police station.
News agency ANI reported that a Maulana allegedly raped an 8-year-old girl in Darbhanga who used to take tuition from him.

Quoting police the agency said that the accused has been arrested and further investigations are underway.
The accused has been identified as Mujibur Rahman. He used to visit girl’s house to give her tuition classes. According to media reports, the accused raped the girl when he had visited her home to teach her.
The locals of the area are filled with the feelings of anger and resentment.
