Man done to death by mob in Alwar on suspicion of cow smuggling
A man in Rajasthan’s Alwar district was allegedly beaten to death by mob on the suspicion of cow smuggling. The shocking incident took place on Friday night, days after Supreme Court had warned against mobocracy and cow-vigilantism.
Akbar Khan, 28, was attacked by the mob in Alwar’s Ramgarh while he was transporting cattle to Haryana. He was a resident of Haryana’s Ferozepur Jhirka district.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and have commenced its investigation into the serious case.
News agency ANI quoted ASP Alwar, Anil Beniwal as saying, “It is not clear if they were cow smugglers. The body has been sent for postmortem. We are trying to identify the culprits and arrests will be made soon.”

According to PTI, police have filed a case of murder against unidentified people for Akbar’s death. Akbar was rushed to Ramgarh government hospital were he was declared brought dead.
Last week Supreme Court had asked Parliament to frame a law to tackle cow vigilantism and lynch mobs.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in a tweet sent out on Saturday morning said that the incident of alleged lynching of a person transporting bovines in Alwar district is condemnable. Strictest possible action shall be taken against the perpetrators, she said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while giving his reply on the debate on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha on Friday had urged all the state governments to take strict action against those involved in mob lynching incident and punish them to curb the menace happening in the country for the last few months.
