“I Am Not Sita……”, social media influencer Harsha Richhariya quits spiritual path, Here’s Why ?
Social media influencer Harsha Richhariya, who came into spotlight during Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025, has announced that she is stepping away from the spiritual path. Harsha said that after taking a holy dip at the Sangam on Magh Purnima in Prayagraj, she will return to the world of glamour. She shared this decision through a post on her Instagram account.
Harsha stated, “The vow I took to follow the path of spirituality will come to an end after my Magh Purnima bath.”
Experience of protest and struggle
Harsha said that the journey which began with Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 has now come to a close. Over the past year, she faced constant opposition and mental pressure. “I tried to bring positive change by following the spiritual path. I did nothing wrong, yet my decision to walk this path was opposed and my morale was repeatedly broken,” she said.
Burden of debt and allegations
Harsha clarified that contrary to public perception, she did not earn crores by embracing spirituality but instead fell into debt. “I was questioned again and again without any fault of mine, and my character was attacked. I am not Sita who must prove herself through a trial by fire. Targeting a woman’s character is often the easiest thing to do,” she added.
Lack of support
She also said that despite choosing the spiritual path, she received little support. Her efforts were obstructed and opposition was deliberately created.
“I don’t want any more opposition. Keep your religion to yourselves. I have endured enough. From this Magh Purnima onwards, I am ending my commitment to this path and will return to my previous work, where there was no opposition, no character assassination and no debt,” she said.
Message to the youth
Addressing young people who wish to follow the path of spirituality, Harsha advised, “The greatest form of faith is staying connected to your family. Pray in your own home, stay with your family, and do not blindly follow anyone else.”
