Heavy rains forecast for Uttarakhand

An alert has been sounded for heavy rains in most parts of Uttarakhand, officials said. Heavy to very heavy rains could lash Dehradun, Chamoli, Nanital, Rudraprayag districts of the state. Hill station Mussourie is also very likely to receive heavy rains in next 24-hours.

This has alerted the district administration of the respective districts and disaster management teams have been put on alert.

Meanwhile, rains continue to lash hill regions in Uttarakhand.
