FIR against BJP lawmaker Kuldeep Sengar, 9 others in Unnao rape survivor’s accident

The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday lodged an FIR against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, his brother Manoj Singh Sengar and eight others in connection with the Unnao rape survivor’s accident in Rae Bareli district of the state.
The FIR has been lodged on the charges of murder after the survivor’s family alleged conspiracy behind the Sunday’s car accident.
On Sunday, a car in which Unnao rape survivor, her aunts and her lawyer was travelling was hit by a truck. While the survivor and her lawyer suffered serious injuries, her two aunts got killed in the accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at Trauma Centre in Lucknow.
The accident happened when the survivor and three others were heading towards Rae Bareli in their private car to meet the survivor’s uncle who is lodged in the jail in a separate case.
Sengar has been booked under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code after the victim’s uncle lodged a complaint against him.
Survivor’s mother had also termed the incident a conspiracy to wipe out her family.
