After explosives, police find bullets near Kerala railway bridge
Malappuram (Kerala), Jan 11 (IANS) While the Kerala Police, Indian Army and other agencies were examining five explosive devices recovered from a river near a railway bridge at the state’s Kuttipuram last week, a large quantity of bullets was found from the area on Thursday, police said.
A police official attached to the Kuttipuram police station told IANS that bullets were recovered from the spot but didn’t provide other details.
“The investigations have started and it’s too early to give out any more details,” said the official who did not wish to be identified.
The explosives, which seem to be small “mines”, were found near the bridge last Thursday.
Various central agencies including the National Investigation Agency are probing the incident and the earlier recovered explosive devices are currently undergoing scientific tests.
