“Did Rahul Gandhi ……?”: Why Arvind Kejriwal Fumed at Congress following his acquittal
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia were acquitted on Friday in the Delhi excise policy case. The Rouse Avenue Court strongly rebuked the CBI, stating that the prosecution had failed to substantiate its allegations with credible evidence. Soon after, the CBI approached the Delhi High Court challenging the verdict.
“With What Face Do Congress Leaders Speak?”
Following the trial court’s decision, Kejriwal and other AAP leaders held a victory parade. At a press conference, Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the BJP. When asked about Congress’s claim that the BJP had deliberately facilitated his acquittal, Kejriwal retorted, “Tell me, Kejriwal went to jail. Did Robert Vadra go to jail? Sanjay Singh went to jail, did Rahul Gandhi? Manish Sisodia went to jail, did Sonia Gandhi? With what face do they speak? Congress leaders have no shame.”

Challenge to Hold Elections in Delhi
Kejriwal threw down a political gauntlet to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP daring them to conduct fresh elections in Delhi. He declared, "If the BJP wins more than 10 seats, I will quit politics."
He accused the BJP government of damaging Delhi since coming to power last February, adding, "The entire city has been ruined. The hunger for power of PM Modi and Amit Shah has cost Delhi’s three crore citizens dearly. Go and ask the people — they are fed up. I challenge Modi ji: if you have the courage, hold elections again in Delhi. If you get more than 10 seats, I will leave politics."
