CBSE Class X Result : Tough challenge, tougher the response
Despite suffering from a rare incurable disease – Myositis Ossificans which makes it impossible for a person to sit, Ashmeet Bhatnagar of Jaipur managed to score 93.4 per cent marks in his CBSE class X. A very meritorious Ashmeet wrote his exams by standing.
According to Hindustan Times, 16-year-old Ashmeet has to stand 12 hours a day as neither he can stand or lie down due to stiff joints. In Myositis Ossificans calcification occurs at sites of skeletal injuries.
But Ashmeet’s condition proved to be a double jolt for the Bhatnagars since their elder son was found to be spastic and attends a special school.
Ashmeet’s father Sumeet Bhatnagar told the daily that at the age of one, when Ashmeet was administered DPT vaccine, a lump was formed for which he had to undergo a surgery but his hip got stiff.
Ashmeet was later diagnosed to be suffering from Myositis Ossificans, Sumeet said.
