Cash, valuables stolen from film producer’s car in Delhi
New Delhi, Jan 3 : Delhi Police has registered a case of theft against unidentified thieves for breaking the window glass of a film producer’s luxury car and stealing his two bags having over Rs 1 lakh, an iPhone 5 and other documents, police said on Wednesday.
The police said the incident occurred on Tuesday night but it was reported to the police by victim Kunal Sharma on Wednesday morning after he saw his BMW car’s rear window glass broken.
Sharma had parked his car in front of Bhagat Singh Place at Gole Market when the thieves targeted it.
Two bags containing cash over Rs 1 lakh, iPhone 5, Aadhaar card, Voter Identity Card, cheque books and other important documents were reported missing in the heist, according to Sharma.
“A case of theft has been registered on the complaint of the film producer in Mandir Marg Police Station. We are examining the CCTV footage of adjoining roads to ascertain the identities of robbers,” Deputy Commissioner of Police B.K. Singh said.
