Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday refuted the charges levelled by JD(S) leader and former Karnataka CM H.D. Kumaraswamy that the BJP has offered Rs 100 crore and cabinet posts to its MLAs in return to support for forming government in the state. Javadekar who is also Karnataka state in-charge of BJP expressed confidence about forming a stable government in Karnataka.
Javadekar told reporters, “We do not deal in horse-trading of any kind. Rs 100 crore figure is imaginary. We are going by the rules.” He said that the party was confident of forming a government in the state. “We have met the Governor and submitted our claim. We are very sure that we will make a government and a very stable one”, News Agency IANS reported.
Javadekar made these remarks soon after Kumaraswamy accused the BJP of horse-trading and said his party legislators were offered Rs 100 crore each and cabinet berths.
