Apple launches iOS 12 at WWDC 2018

Apple on Monday took curtains off its latest software iOS 12 for iPhones and iPads at WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) 2018.

The event was kick-started by Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi who launched iOS 12.

Federighi announced that the new software will be available to all iPhones and iPads that are supported by previous OS (iOS 11).

The new iOS brings a horde of new features to iPhones and iPads.

In Photos, Apple has introduced a new tab named ‘For You’. This feature will highlight photos which one took in the past years. There is much more to Photos in the new OS.

Further Apple has introduced the next generation AR Kit platform – ARKit 2 which will come with enhanced face tracking experience.

Siri is also smarter on iOS 12 with shortcut features for third-party apps. The new software from Apple also brings new Animojis and stickers.

Apple is adding new features to the Apple watch as well.

While curtains are off from Apple’s iOS 12, the company would be rolling out the new software for iPhones and iPads (compatible smartphone devices) later this year after the launch of this year’s iPhones.
