Dial helpline number 108 for government help if stuck in thunderstorm

If stuck in a thunderstorm dial 108. This is the Government Disaster Management Helpline Number, reported Times Now News website. The number can be dialled from either a mobile phone or a landline. The number 108 is toll-free across the country.
The emergency number has been issued after the Indian Meterological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm warning till Wednesday across 17 states in the country.
Thunderstorms and gusty winds had hit Delhi and NCR late on Monday night. A warning in this regard had been issued by the IMD a day before. Further, the Delhi government had ordered for the closure of the schools.
In such a scenario, people have been advised not to step out of their homes until the situation returns to normal.
