100km/h Horror in Garhwa: Speeding SUV Pulverized in Collision, 4 Relatives Dead
GARHWA | A horrific road accident claimed lives of four people in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district on Sunday night. The accident took place in Belchampa village, under the jurisdiction of the Garhwa Sadar Police Station, when a speeding unidentified truck collided violently with a Scorpio SUV.
Details of the Collision
The impact was so severe that the driver lost control of the SUV, causing it to veer off the road and plow into a roadside house. All four occupants of the vehicle died instantly at the scene. Fortunately, the residents of the house escaped the crash unhurt.
According to eyewitnesses, the Scorpio was traveling at an excessive speed, estimated to be over 100 km/h. Following the collision with the truck, the vehicle was reduced to a mangled wreck. The sound of the crash triggered immediate chaos in the area and local authorities arrived shortly after to recover the bodies and transport them to the Garhwa Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Background of the Victims
Police investigations revealed that the deceased were relatives and were returning home from a family function in Bilaspur village, located near the Uttar Pradesh border. The victims have been identified as residents of Bhandar village, spanning the Pandu and Bishrampur police station areas in Palamu district.
Investigation Underway
Family members of the deceased alleged that an unidentified truck struck the SUV from behind before the driver sped away from the scene. The police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to track down the fleeing truck and its driver.
Political Leader Expressed Grief
Former MLA and BJP leader Ramchandra Chandravanshi expressed profound sorrow over the tragic incident. Extending his condolences to the bereaved families, he described the accident as deeply painful and assured them of his support during this difficult time. A pall of gloom has descended over the region following the tragedy.
