6 CRPF personnel injured in grenade attack in Srinagar

Atleast six CRPF personnel were injured in a grenade attack at the Karan Nagar police station in Srinagar on Saturday evening, news agency ANI reported.

The injured CRPF men who belong to 144 battalion were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.

According to the agency, the attack took place at 6:50 pm today. The attack was made on a joint patrol party of CRPF and J&K police.




It is also reported that the security personnel fired in the air in retaliation.

The area has been sealed and search operations are underway.
