A 12-year-old boy has been arrested by Noida police for allegedly throttling to death a two-year-old. The boy had tried to assault the girl sexually, Times Of India quoted police as saying. The medical report however, has not confirmed rape.
But the girl’s body had injury marks. Her right eye was also damaged.
A murder case has been slapped against the boy and he has been sent to juvenile home. The girl’s body was found in a field near a temple on Wednesday morning.
The police said that during questioning the boy told them that he had seen the girl playing outside the neighbour’s house on Wednesday and he the took her to a deserted place near a village temple. He had then tried to assault her, but she started crying, police told TOI.
Fearing that the girl’s cries would attract attention of people in the vicinity, the boy allegedly hit her repeatedly with the brick and throtteld her to death.
Akhilesh Tripathi, SHO of Bisrakh police station told the daily that a case of murder against the accused has been registered. He said that the boy was produced before the Child Welfare Committee and sent to the juvenile home.
“A police team visited the village and carried out investigation. We scanned the CCTV footage from a house in which the boy was seen taking the child away from home where she was playing”, the daily quoted Tripathi as saying.
The police learnt from villagers that the boy was addicted to watching porn clips on mobile phone.
