WhatsApp Group Admin arrested in UP for circulating ‘Anti-National’ messages

Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a WhatsApp group admin for the alleged circulation of anti-national messages on the social media. The arrested man has been identified as one Naeem.

A police official said that Naeem was arrested after a complaint was filed by one Dipak Kumar of Bamnauli village in Baraut.

Naeem was reportedly the admin of a WhatsApp group named ‘Josh’ in which the alleged anti-national messages were circulated. He was arrested after a probe found that he was admin of the group.

Police said that Naeem also runs ‘Jan Sewa Kendra (common services center) in his village.
