Two arms dealers arrested in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jan 11 : Two arms dealers were arrested here while trying to sell off arms and and ammunition to some unidentified miscreants, police said on Thursday.

M. Ilyas and Abdul Ali were caught on Wednesday night, police added.

The unknown miscreants fled the spot, sensing trouble.

A 7mm pistol loaded with 5 cartridges was recovered from Ilyas while an improvised single-shot firearm along with 2 cartridges was recovered from Abdul Ali.

The pair have been sent to police custody till January 18.
