Three children found dead in a wooden box in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh
Three children including two girls were found dead in a wooden box in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district on Saturday night, reported Hindustan Times while quoting police.
Girls aged 10 and seven and boy aged four, all siblings might have been playing and ‘got trapped in a box’ and were suffocated to death. Reportedly, the grandparents of the children found the three children inside the box after they failed to trace them elsewhere.
The shocking incident took place in Kumti village of Pithoragarh over 450 kms from Dehradun. The incident reportedly took place when the parents of the children were away.
Hindustan Times quoted Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pithoragarh, Shekhar Suyal as saying that post-mortem examination would clarify how the children died.
