UP to remain open on Saturday, closed on Sunday

Lucknow: In a major relief to the people, the Yogi Adityanath government has reduced the
weekend closure from two to one day.

Markets will now remain open on Saturdays and complete closure will be observed on Sundays.

According to an official release, all shops will remain open from 9 a.m to 9 p.m on weekdays.

Additional chief secretary home, Avanish Awasthi, said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had taken
this decision at the Team 11 meeting on Tuesday.

He said that the total closure on Sunday would enable sanitization of public areas.
