Former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi has shared a video on Twitter of students being hit by guards and has aksed the Government of India for a ‘detailed evacuation plan’. It can be seen in the video that the guards are pushing and misbehaving with the Indian students. This video has been doing rounds on Twitter and on other social media platforms since Sunday (February 27).

“My heart goes out to the Indian students suffering such violence and their family watching these videos. No parent should go through this. GOI must urgently share the detailed evacuation plan with those stranded as well as their families. We can’t abandon our own people”, Gandhi wrote on Twitter.

A man in the video could be heard saying, “Look, how are they thrashing the girls.”

Tens of thousands of people have fled since Russia began the ‘military operation’ in Ukraine. Thousands of Indian students are stuck up in Ukraine and efforts are on to rescue them and bring them back to India.

The Government had on Sunday said that one thousand students have come back to India from Ukraine.
