While centre government says that depreciation of Indian Rupee against the US Dollar and hike in the global crude price is the cause of huge surge in the domestic oil prices, common people say that Modi government is not doing anything to give them comfort.

The opposition parties, on the other hand, have already announced a nationwide strike on September 10 to protest against the rising petrol and diesel prices, reportedly due to very high taxes.
