Navy officer and 8 time Mr India title winner arrested for raping young woman

A 38-year old Navy officer who had bagged Mr Asia and Mr India titles multiple times, has been arrested in Kerala for allegedly raping a woman who is in her early 20s.
The young woman accused the Navy officer identified as Murali Kumar of raping her after inviting her to meet him at a hotel in Kottayam last week. The officer was arrested in Kottayam in Kerala.
According to news agency PTI, the woman’s father had lodged a complaint with the police while alleging that the Navy officer raped his daughter on the pretext of marriage.
Kumar is a two time Mr Asia title holder and eight time Mr India title winner had allegedly befriended the woman on social media.
