Minor gangraped by 10 youths in UP’s Bulandshahr

In a chilling incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by atleast 10 youngsters in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district. The gruesome act of crime took place under the limits of Jahangirabad police station of the district. The girl was found unconscious by her family in a field.
The rape survivor’s brother lodged a case against 10 accused. The survivor has accused the boys of filming the crime.
Hindustan Times quoted Head Constable of Jahangirabad police station, Subhash Singh as saying that the two accused have been arrested and a case of gangrape under sections 363 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against them.
The arrested youths have been identified as Nitish (18) and his brother Rohit. Police are making efforts to nab the remaining accused.
The incident reportedly took place on Monday when the girl had gone to attend her cousin’s engagement ceremony in Chacheri village. She was accompanied by her family members. Here Nitish and Rohit had been hired for setting up tents.
The duo somehow convinced the girl to accompany her to a shrine in the neighbouring village where a group of boys was already waiting who then gangraped her, Hindustan Times quoted police as saying.
The daily mentioned SP (rural) Bulandshahr, Raees Akhtar as saying that police teams were working to nab the accused.
