“This man walked upto me and said I will shoot you” : Victim who was bullied by ex-BSP MP’s son

Ashish Pandey (wearing pink trouser) is seen allegedly brandishing pistol outside a five-star hotel in Delhi

Ashish Pandey, son of former BSP MP from Akbarpur in Uttar Pradesh, has been booked by Delhi police for allegedly brandishing a gun outside a five-star hotel. Pandey is a realtor and a native of Lucknow. His video brandishing a gun has gone viral on social media.

While the incident took place on the intervening night of October 13 and 14, it came to light only on Tuesday. One of the victims on the condition of anonymity told Times Now that he had gone to the hotel with his friend for dinner. He said that as his friend was not feeling well, she decided to go to the ladies’ washroom.

“While I was waiting for my friend outside the washroom, three girls (who were with Ashish Pandey) arrived here in an intoxicated state. They were talking all rubbish and cursing and abusing everyone. They went inside the washroom and perhaps on seeing my friend unwell, started abusing and bullying her”, victim told Times Now.

He said that while he sought assistance from the hotel staff, his friend came out (of washroom) ‘weeping’. As per the victim, four men appraoched him and started abusing but he did not retaliate.

“These guys were waiting in the hotel’s lobby and when we reached there, they started hurling abuses and threatened us. My friend showed middle finger to them even when she was shaking and crying. Pandey’s friend came to us and asked us to clam down”, the victim told the news channel.

“But this man (Ashish Pandey) walked up to me and said I will shoot you”, he told the news channel.

Meanwhile, authorities alerted airports and a Delhi Police team reached Lucknow on Tuesday in search of a BSP MP’s son. The three-member squad, led by Inspector Harish Chandra, went to Ashish Pandey’s house and those of his relatives but could not find him, an officer told IANS.

When the police team reached Pandey’s house in Vaibhav Khand in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area, a domestic help said that Pandey visited the place once or twice a month.
