Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala gives BJP 15 days to prove majority

Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala on Wednesday invited BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa to form government in the state. Vala gave 15 days time to Yeddyurappa to prove his party’s majority.

Karnataka BJP announced on Twitter that the swearing-in ceremony of Yeddyurappa will be held in Raj Bhavan at 9 am on Thursday. The BJP is the single largest party in Karnataka and won 104 seats.

The Congress won 78 seats, while JD(S) managed to win 38 seats.
