India defeat West Indies in their first match after exit from World Cup

Team India on Saturday defeated West Indies by four wickets in the first T20I. India won by four wickets. This was India’s first victory after exit from the World Cup.
With this India took a 1-0 lead in the three match T20I series.
The highlight of the match was debutant Team India pacer Navdeep Saini’s sharp bowling which got him three wickets. He also delivered 19 dot balls in his 4 overs.
Batting first West Indies team could gather just 95 runs as Indian bowlers showcased a disciplined bowling. India managed to chase down the target with 16 balls remaining.
India had won the toss and allowed West Indies to bast first. Apart from Navdeep, wicket takers were Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Washington Sundar, Khaleel Ahmed, Ravindra Jadeja and Krunal Pandya.
While Bhuvaneshwar took two wickets, other Indian bowlers managed to scalp one wicket each.
For West Indies, the best batsman for the day was Kieron Pollard who scored 49 runs. Nicholas Pooran managed to score 20 runs for his team. No other West Indies batsman could do wonder.
For India, the top scorer was Rohit Sharma who hit 24 runs followed by Captain Virat Kohli who managed to score 19 runs.
