Imran Khan has been removed as the Prime Minister of Pakistan after he lost no-trust vote. Voting was held in the Pakistan’s National Assembly past midnight hours on Saturday.

174 members of National Assembly voted in support of no-trust vote against Imran Khan which led to his ouster. The members of Imran Khan’s party moved out of the Assembly before the start of the voting process.

With this Imran Khan became the first PM in Pakistan’s history to be removed through a no-confidence motion.

It is now very likely that Leader of Opposition in Pakistan’s National Assembly, Shehbaaz Sharif would be sworn in as the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.
