‘If illegal immigrants do not leave country respectfully, they be shot and eliminated’ : BJP MLA

BJP MLA from Telengana T. Raja Singh has left his party red faced. Raja made an extremely shocking comment over ongoing debate on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) list in Assam. He said that if illegal immigrants do not leave country respectfully, then they should be shot and eliminated.

Raja made these remarks when BJP president Amit Shah defended the government’s decision on the citizen registry. Shah was speaking in defence of the government in Rajya Sabha which witnessed a massive uproar over Assam’s NRC list wherein 40 lakh people have been left out.

Shah said that the BJP government had the courage to do what the UPA did not dare to do.

News agency ANI quoted BJP MLA T. Raja Singh as saying, “If these Rohingyas and Bangladeshi illegal immigrants do not leave India respectfully, then they should be shot and eliminated. Then only our country will be safe.”

T. Raja Singh represents the Goshamahal legislative assembly constituency in Hyderabad. He is member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly.
