Husband spots his wife with another man in compromising position, murders both of them

Kanpur | An incident of double murder rocked UP’s Jalaun on Friday. Here a man allegedly hacked his wife and her suspected lover to death. The man, according to the media reports, had found his wife and her male friend in a compromising position after which he murdered them in a fit of rage.
When police came to know about the incident, they arrived at the scene and initiated investigation. Thereafter, the corpses were sent for postmortem examination. The incident has caused panic in the area.
The attacker has been identified as Kunwar Singh (28). He has been arrested. The deceased were identified as Aarti (30) and Chhavi Nath (40). As per police investigation, Kunwar Singh was not at home on Wednesday and was likely to be back soon. He arrived on Thursday only to find that his wife and her suspected lover were in a compromising position. He then killed both of them in a fit of rage. He used an axe to murder them, police said.
It was after this Kunwar Singh fled. The villagers promptly alerted the police about the incident.
Circle Officer Jalaun Shailendra Kumar Bajpayee arrived at the location to oversee the investigation. He confirmed that the incident stemmed from an extramarital relationship. The accused has been arrested and his questioning is underway, police said.
