Cafe Coffee Day founder VG Siddhartha goes missing, search operation underway

Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) founder VG Siddhartha has gone missing after he left Mangaluru on Monday evening. Siddhartha is son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna.
According to reports, Siddhartha left in his Innova car towards Mangaluru last night, stopped midway at Ullal bridge and went missing thereafter.
According to news agency ANI, Siddhartha went missing near Netravati river in Mangaluru and a search operation is underway.
ANI quoted Mangaluru Police Commissioner, Sandeep Patil as saying, “Yesterday, he left Bengaluru saying he is going to Sakleshpur. But on the way, he told his driver to go to Mangaluru. On reaching Netravati river bridge, he got down from the car, asked his driver to go ahead and stop.”
He further said that the boat service and help of local fishermen is being taken to conduct search operation in Neravati river. ‘We are checking with whom all he spoke last”, senior police official told this news agency.
