Bulandshahr violence case : Army man accused of killing police inspector arrested by UP Police

Army soldier Jeetu Malik who is accused of killing police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr has been arrested. The arrest took place past midnight hours. Malik was handed over to UP police by his unit. He has been named in FIR filed in Bulandshahr case.
“We’ve arrested Army Jawan Jitendra Malik, he was handed over by Army at 12:50 am today. Preliminary interrogation has been done. He is being sent to Bulandshahr, will be produced before court for judicial custody”, news agency ANI quoted Senior Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force Abhishek Singh as saying on Bulandshahr case.

“He (Malik) accepted he was there when the crowd started gathering. Prima facie, it has been found true. It’s not yet ascertained if he is the one who shot the inspector or Sumit. He said he went there with villagers, but denied pelting stones on police. Forensic of his mobile will be done”, reported ANI.

The UP police are investigating the killing of inspector Subodh Kumar Singh in Bulandshahr violence which broke out on Monday over alleged cow slaughter.
