Bihar : School principal held for allegedly raping class V student, victim becomes pregnant

A school principal has been arrested in Patna for allegedly raping a girl student of class V. The girl was being repeatedly raped on the school premises for past several months. Also a school clerk has been taken into custody by police for filming the crime and blackmailing the girl.

The matter opened up on Wednesday when the girl returned home and her health deteriorated.

The police were informed about the matter after which the medical tests were performed on the girl which gave shocking results. The tests revealed that she was pregnant. According to news agency IANS, the victim, a student of class V has accused school principal of sexually exploiting her.

The girl told police that the principal of a private school in Phoolwari Sharif in Patna has been sexually exploiting her for past nine-months and threatening her with a knife, Hindustan Times reported.

“The school clerk made a video-clip of the act and was blackmailing me that he would circulate the same on social media”, the victim told police. She also told police that she had been first raped by the principal by calling her in his office on the pretext of examining her text book.

Hindustan Times quoted Patna SSP Manu Maharaj as saying that police has acted swiftly and arrested the school principal and the clerk. He also said that the knife used to threaten the girl has been recovered.
