Bengaluru police arrests Ola driver who allegedly molested female passenger, forced her to strip

A 26-year-old woman in Bengaluru was allegedly molested by Ola cab driver after holding her captive in the car. The woman was also forced to strip by the driver for taking photos, reported NDTV. The police have managed to arrest the cab driver identified as Arun V.
The incident took place when the woman was on her way to airport during the early hours on June 1. The accused driver allegedly threatened to call more men and get the woman gang-raped.
According to NDTV the driver managed to take the photos of the woman and allegedly shared the same on WhatsApp.
Senior Bengaluru police officer Seemant Kumar Singh was quoted as saying that on the complaint of the woman, an FIR has been registered.
“We have zero tolerance for such incidents and the driver has been blacklisted from the platform as an immediate action upon receiving the complaint. Safety of customers is our top priority and we are extending our full support to the police authorities in their investigation,” Ola said in a statement.
