Amitabh Bachchan discharged from hospital after testing negative for Covid-19

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has tested COVID-19 negative and has been discharged from hospital.

Amitabh took to Twitter to make the news official. He wrote, “I have tested CoVid- have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the Almighty, blessings of Ma Babuji, prayers & duas of near & dear & friends fans EF .. and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this day.”

 

Big B and his son Abhishek Bachchan had tested Covid positive on July 11 night and were admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital. All members of the Bachchan family along with their household staff were tested. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan tested positive, Jaya Bachchan had tested negative.

On July 27, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya were discharged from hospital after testing negative for Covid-19.

However, Abhishek Bachchan is still in hospital as he is yet to test negative for COVID-19 for getting discharged.

“I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted.  I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise”, Abhishek wrote on Twitter.
