The development is seen as a jolt to BJP ahead of the next month’s assembly polls in Rajasthan.
Meena won from Dausa constituency on BJP ticket in 2014 and became Lok Sabha MP.
Meena’s quitting his party – BJP and joining Congress is result of huge anti-incumbency the saffron party is facing in Rajasthan ahead of the assembly polls.
Assembly polls in Rajasthan will be held on December 7 and counting of votes will take place on December 12.
